Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy by Dr. David Burns
lacking access to decent therapy, that's the best thing society has ever offered in terms of dealing with depression. it didn't cure but it changed my understanding, that's for certain.
I will give this one a try, David Goggin’s - Can’t Hurt Me really helped me and my life
Everybody poops. That book was a real life changer for me. I’ll never forget the moment in my first grade classroom when I learned that 1 humped camels have 1 humped poops, and 2 humped camels have 2 humped poops.
Green eggs and ham
Grendel by John Gardner. Got a weird glimpse of my own soul in that book
Jacques Derrida's greatest work.
Oh god no. You're giving me flashbacks of a nightmare class I had to take in graduate school, where I was forced to read Derrida for some godawful unknown reason. It was awful. Horrid.
*The horror* *The horror*
It was supposed to be a research methods class. And instead of learning research methods, we read Derrida. A bunch of Derrida. And that's it.
I am not saying all of Derrida is worth the read. I agree that some of his work is rather painful to read, but Of Grammatology is excellent. Even if you dislike his writing style, which I realize is rather droning and repetitive it is still excellent in content.
*M Train* by Patti Smith.
Can’t hurt me - David Goggins had a huge impact on my life and helped me get out of the darkest place I’ve been in my life
Skinny Legs and All - Tom Robbins
Totally blew my mind.
