Vitali Klitschko Is still keeping in top shape at 50
By - waffenwolf
Vitali is a beast. 3 time heavyweight champion of the world and 10 consecutive title defenses. Beast!!
He wants that Lennox Lewis rematch.
Lennox is rich, content with life and chubby. He talks about exhibition fights and stuff every now and then but you can tell the fire just isn't there. Who can blame him? If your happy, why mess it up.
I agree with why Lennox doesn't wanna fight anymore, just saying Vitali would jump on it instantly if it was ever offered.
You can be happy and excited by the challenge of coming back.
But that isn't Lewis. Hell I'd say that's most retired fighters.
Then Mike Tyson, Roy Jones, Floyd and Manny are sad people ?
I think Vitali would win a rematch if he don’t get cut.
In genuinely better shape than many of the 'Top 30'.
Cause he’s on TRT. He popped for steroids early in his career and been on then his whole life probably. Easy to be ripped when you got T levels of a 16 year old.
Because the fat blokes are not on test lmao. They‘re all on roids in the top 30
even lower than that probably (although with much less quality ped's obviously)
Same reason Mike Tyson suddenly "got swole af and shredded" after 10+ years of being fat lol. Can't blame em though. As long as you don't mind taxing your heart a bit, it's a decent gamble running test after 45-50yo.
using therapeutic doses of TRT and eating healthily shouldnt tax the heart too much right? surely that starts at higher doses
All test has a pretty significant effect on your cholesterol levels though. Raises your risk for stroke and heart attacks significantly. If you have good cholesterol levels though, you have nothing to worry about. Unfortunately high cholesterol runs in my family.
yeah but i’d think if it’s just TRT to get your test levels to the point they were at previously then it’s not gonna like spike your cholesterol and start hardening your arteries and shit
There is a reason why human male biological clock gives less testosterone to a 50 year old man than a 30 year old. You are artificially bring it up to levels no 50 year old has naturally.
That's not true and it's a bad way to think. A lot of things are fixable with modern medicine and shouldn't just be ignored because nature "meant" it to be a certain way. Also some 50 year olds can have super high levels, while some can be on the low end. A healthy 50 year old that exercised and lived a clean life can have almost no drop off in test levels. If you are on the lower end it's probably healthier to micro dose it every 2 days or something, than it is to leave it low and fall apart
You could be right. I'm just going off of what my doctor has told me recently because I've asked him about it. (I'm 41)
oh then obv go off what your doctor told you lmao im just an anthro student. i’ll def look into it more in detail tho bc i’d like to know how exactly it works
I don’t mind it. I wouldn’t take it cause once you do your body is fucked without it and hard on heart but I see why guys do. If you’re in it you’re on for life and you are ripped forever and jacked without barley working out.
They're all on drugs, still impressive that he is in such great shape considering his age, loads of hw's are roided but look like melted tubs of ice cream
People saying that he take enhancement drugs when he don’t even have to perform as an athlete anymore are just jelly. The Klishcko bros are just genetically gifted that’s all. They didn’t dominate the HW for an entire era by accident.
Because TRT is magic and makes you just be in great shape.
And because NONE of the top heavyweights currently active are on any kind of PEDs.
TRT does put like 10-15 pounds of muscle on you without even training, once you start training you're on legal steroids and ripped. I got 1 friend whos on it and is jacked as fuck now, also knew 2 guys in Golds GYm that explained to me alot, they were soft and no energy before and never missed 1 day in gym after got on it. My dicks too important to me to risk it right now and i got a full head of italian hair and known for it. If i start going bald, stop looking 21 when im 31 and start aging like rest of my friends...ill be first motherfucker on TRT ready to bang bros out. Im def not nearly as ripped anymore and got injuries and cant lift heavy anymore as much. Broken down man but look 22.
Nothing to say Vitali is taking testosterone. He looks natural and hasn't balded. He is a politician not an athlete there is literally no incentive for him to have big muscles
Is TRT legal?
Yea for casual use. It’s banned in sports now though , only was legal for short span. Point is Vitali would look real different if wasn’t juiced to the gills for last 4 decades.
Yeah I love the guy but he was a beanpole when he was kickboxing then in a couple of years he was 240-250 ripped in a cardio/ combat sport, don't need a chemist to figure that one out lol
Ditto. I'm 49 and keep in top shape. I once thought 50 was old, it's not. Maybe old for competitive boxing but not in life.
The hardest part is recovery, that's it. I'm honestly stronger than I've ever been.
Hell yeah, dude. Keep it up!
Thanks! I try and sneak sparring sessions behind my wife's back 😆
You are a true inspiration i want to be like you one day
>Maybe old for competitive boxing
For any boxing. I'm 41 with 20+ years in boxing and bjj. Sparred the other day for the first time in a while *(since Covid started nobody has really wanted to spar)*.... and **ye gods** the bounce in my legs is just gone. I felt like a garbage bag full of wet clothes.
Massive respect to Pac, Foreman, Hops etc because I just can't see it personally. Lifting weights is a diff story.....but combat sports is *fucking hard* at 40yo and up.
I still spar (prior to covid) and did about 6-8rds. I been boxing since 12, I'm a trainer now since about 30 years old.
You are right tho, your legs go but again if you take care of yourself 50 isn't old. At 41 I was a monster still
I think a lot of that was the COVID lay off. I'm 10 years younger than you and had a similar feeling when returning to boxing.
vitali defended his title past 40 too!
People just like to make excuses, 50 ain't old if you keep a healthy lifestyle and don't get hit with anything that fucks you up that isn't your doing (Ie Medical\\accidents).
People just treat their bodies like shit despite knowing so for their entire lives and once their bodies start breaking down and "getting old" they think its apart of life and normal. I guess it is, cause so many do it but its not because our bodies themselves would normally worn out and crap by that age but because they have been shitting on their bodies for their entire lives and finally the body is breaking down due to being mistreated forever.
How many people in industries that have any sort of likely injury\\illness due to the job actually do ALL the precautions\\steps they should. Not fucking many, and way way less of them who are in that 50ish age range or more.
I didn't know that last bit but damn good for him. Louie Simmons is another who is pushing big weight well past 50 years old. I'm sure there are quite a few but its not something I follow at all. Just know of him cause he runs westside barbell.
Yeah I think physical jobs aren't as detrimental to your body as people say they are. It's only detrimental if you don't exercise outside of work. Alot of the aches and pains can be countered with a balanced lifting program.
>I'm honestly stronger than I've ever been.
That should be everyone's goal
Age wises you up. You start being smart with how you party. Other things like having kids come into play. It's not hard to see how some people get better with age.
I used to get hammered with friends on a Friday then run a 10k the next morning and thought I was so cool. I still drink before a race but it's mostly neat and 1/4th as much. End up with a better performance the next morning.
Kids: If I get carried away drinking, I'm lethargic with my daughter. She doesn't deserve that, she deserves me at 110%.
The covid lockdown ended up detoxing me from all those nights out. Also, I learned to cook more at home. This has saved me a massive amount of money which I use for vitamins, cryotherapy, reinvesting in myself.
When you're younger you don't think of any of this. Yea, I don't mind at all getting older.
For a capital city mayor, he seems to have a lot of time on his hands lol
They love the strongmen figures over there.
Yea. I have edited it.
Hope all who work hard continue to keep themselves in good health, even when they don’t have to
Jesus he's ripped for 50, not just strong but lean. Looks like he's living the life. This reminded me how great skydiving is, nothing like it super recommend.
>This reminded me how great skydiving is, nothing like it super recommend.
I took the class, did my first ever jump solo. What an experience.
Tbh I was more scared flying under the canopy than I was jumping out of the plane. Under canopy all I could think was "I'm 5k feet in the air hanging by a fucking kite. Please God don't let the wind curl that corner up."
The Klitschko's got a lot of shit. But they always came in shape. Guys lived and life the life even in retirement.
Strange to see a 50 year old man doing kipping pullups. O well, he's goddamn Vitali, he can do what he wants.
Imagine this dude comes back for an „exhibition“ he ends that fad real quick
Either Paul bro vs Vitali, book it Triller
Amazing HW, horrendous era. The best name on his resume is Corrie Sanders, I wish he would’ve been born 15-20 years later because we would’ve gotten to see him against other giants like Fury, AJ and Wilder instead of fighting smaller opponents while being 6’7.
>The best name on his resume is Corrie Sanders
prime Chisora and prime Arreola
A younger Chisora, sure but I'd argue Chisora has never looked better than he has the last 3 or 4 years. Still a good win but I think the version of Del Boy that we've seen recently is better.
Yeah but that's semantics. He beat the man. I understand your point because I feel the same way about the Khan-Maidana win, knowing how much better Chino looked later under Garcia. ......But that's not fair to Khan. He fought the man and beat him. Can't take that from him by picking it apart.
Dude was the definition of effective awkwardness. Hit like a truck. Hard to predict. Diamond chin. Killer instinct. Big V was legit
You say he’s an amazing HW and proceed at the same time to diminish his accomplishments by saying his resume is lacking and his era was shit. How do you know he’s an amazing HW then ? i’m not following. The era narrative i see come often from americans. Not really surprising.
Because it was a shit era and there’s no doubt about it, the eye test says he was an amazing HW because he was 6’7, granite chinned, good power, never lost to anyone without a freak injury but his era was still fucking trash. If Sanders, Chisora, Arreola are your top 3 best wins, your era is trash, simple as.
I definitely took some time to question my life choices while waiting through two unskippable ads to see if vitali was still looking good at 50.
I mean, if I was given super-human genetic dna due to Chernobyl then I’d be able to look like that too!
I'm sure you look plenty like the result of a nuclear disaster...
I can count on one hand the times a Reddit comment has made me laugh out loud! 😂
Yours is the eighth
BOOM perfect timing!
Well isn't his wife Hayden paniertte? I think we all would for that.
Nah that's wlad. His ex wife was HP.
he's married to natalia klitschko, an athlete and model, since they were young.
Hope he stopped smoking cigarettes
Damn the Klitschkos are so cheesy but you cant not love it. Seem like good guys that promote a healthy lifestyle
I miss Vitali.
Why did he retired so soon ? This guy is still a beast at 50.
