What is this eye symbol in the Teaser Trailer of EoD?
By - DemethValknut
This is the correct answer.
Alternatively: *Eye see what you did there!*
[Ritualist symbol probably.](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Ritualist)
Don’t you get my hopes up!
could be the new Rev spec , the guy claiming to be a an alpha tester said we missed a few things from the teaser after all
Anet said the same
Did they repeat this after the Aetherblades stuff was found? It was found right after they hinted that there was more things to find in a livestream, so I assumed that was it.
Yes, there is still hidden things or things we didn't pick up in the teaser, it seems
But you already have quasi spirit summoning in renegade
Yeah and that kinda disappointed me because I really wanted a Ritualist elite spec for Revenant, and obviously summoning spirits was like their defining characteristic (imagine having an F2 that summons the spirit of the Legend you’re currently channeling), which was now covered by Renegade and its warband.
At the same time, Ritualist did do more things than just summon spirits - there were weapon spells and ashes, which in Gw2 could be reimagined like we saw with Conjured Weapons and Kits
cast splinter weapon on your squad in wvw
"Soulbeasts, prepare your Barrages"
Ritualists could do more things than just summoning spirits, tho. For example, they could bring back weapon spells by using the venom skill mechanic for revenant.
Yeah Rev Legend could work (master Togo) but I could also see it work as an ele spec (using arcane magic).
*(And yes I am aware that GW rit used spirits - but creative freedom and such)*
Yeah problem is Revenant has no off hand or main hand range weapons to pair with a elite spec with a ranged off hand or main hand weapon. This why I say Shield should be made core for Revenant
Hmm yeah that’s an issue.. Double sceptre? Or ANET could go out of their normal design box and give Rev staff a new skill set with a new elite spec
Or focus/warhorn/torch/oh dagger core.
Have link to that?
But not the eye. That was among the FIRST things anyone found.
Rev does not need a ritualist spec, renegade is already essentially a ritualist spec - if they gonna do it, they should give it to someone else
They have testers?
every game does
Then why does it feel that they don't test things?
maybe cuz there are more actual players than testers ? so more likely to encounter a bug ???
Tybalt rev elite spec confirmed
My by far favorite theory
First dongle is free. Additional dongs available from the gemstore.
Repairing your armor require you to go to a specific NPC with 1000% tax bonus.
They are finally removing deadeye from the game!
I am pretty sure it is a fried egg
there are many symbols trough the trailer
0:09 == ritualists eye symbol
0:11 == MMXXI aka 2021(meaning the expac will come this year)
0:13 == calling ???
0:14 == aetherblade flag
0:17 == duty
0:20 == bridge
0:22 == mercy
wait are you saying the word on the bridge at 0:17 says "duty"? I just read "bridge" lol
nvm you just swapped duty and bridge
Aetherblade Revenant elite spec confirmed
There also seem to be a pair of eyes at 0:22, one tube after the mercy-tube.
I'm on my phone so maybe that's why, but where are you seeing the year at 0:11?
on the bell
omfg, more Ritualist hype! i hope they add it...
E is still watching us
I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but it looks like graffiti. Like it's not supposed to be there.
Possible mark of bandits, thieves or something
Considering the other "graffities", I think this is definately possible.
This made me examine the teaser trailer once again. How many narrators are there and who are they?
Two narrators,Kuunavang and another which is neither DSD or Mother
In light of the new merchandise from EMP, check out odran's map shirt.
It's the Arenanet Arena
Something linked to the Eye of Janthir maybe?
Didn't we kill that back in Season 3?
I know we killed one of them, I'm not sure if there was another. But either way, that doesn't mean that the symbol is not used by people there. The rituals and trials with the eyes were a part of guild wars 1 as far as I recall. There was a mission related to it.
Either way, I thought it might be a possibility that, like Joko in the desert, history of the Eye and the culture around it remained, even if the eye itself (if that was the last one) was gone.
