The only thing FT can really do to defend against Predators...
By - etra_kurdaj
Here is my issue, solo queue for FT is now a chore because my meat shields die way quicker and the DPS for predator only may be suitable against a full team. The game is oriented towards completing the mission as fast as possible to exfill because engaging the predator (especially a good one) uses up too many supplies or gets someone killed if they weaponize themselves with impatient.
As of now, predator seems to be the only enjoyable experience to play as unless you have a full squad that is really good because even with a party of 2-3, any weak link can cost you the game.
My complaint with plasma is even worse because it pretty much got buffed and it’s still boring, and predators stacking damage with perks can take 100+ health or instant down some classes which is absurd. And an even worst offender for a boring game than just caster spam is a scout with “discipline”.
The only band aid fix I see is increasing the amount of supplies the FT can use because if one shot can force a use if a syringe, 2 or 3 isn’t going to last 2 or more engagements. Plus the crates blow up and medkits get destroyed too so it preventable.
I’m personally taking a break from the game now because it’s just not fun playing FT as a solo player and I haven’t got my team on as much as I’d like. Balance is a mess for randoms and I guess is only enjoyable for really good squads because anything less will die to a not just a top tier pred, just a good one.
Yup. Stopped playing. You know I've been highlighting this trend for the longest time, and so many on this sub of mainly pred-mains trashed me for speaking the truth, except for you and Alex. Although we had disagreements on certain issues, we could understand each others viewpoints, and you both even went the extra mile to upload vids countering people's crybaby arguments defending the pred. Like your videos highlighting how stupidly broken the plasma caster is, especially against randoms. Or Alex's video highlighting how a little "git gud" goes a long way in overcoming premades with FM stacks and such. And of course what happened with those posts? They got downvoted and shat on by the pred main community. And Illfonic drank the koolaid and broke the balance beyond belief. The game is tons of fun now for all these new players trying out in randoms, mhmm yup. Balancing the game around the minority playerbase is doing wonders for the general playerbase numbers as a whole, as we can see from today's numerous posts centering around people quitting the game due to balance issues and/or queue times (no doubt exacerbated by people quitting in the first place.)
Agreed. The game has huge potential and can be extremely fun but the barrier of entry has been raised to high for my liking when going against someone who knows what they are doing. Idk anymore.
If both sides are equally skilled FT has the advantage. But since there is only a few good Ft players still playing, pred seems op.
Predator is not op. Good ft team, when I play with my friends in a group, we would play for whole night and very rarely would be killed
Its very telling that whenever someone says the Predator is OP (which it is) the responses are all along the lines of "Well a really good FT can win...".
Yeah, that right there is the problem. The skill requirement for each side is disproportionate.
You should be tested for clinical retardation if you think the pred is OP. He's a fucking space traveling alien with advanced technology, and even an mediocre FT can wipe him. They revive each other, revive the ENTIRE TEAM and can spot him/use UAV.
We should rewrite the original movie to just have Dutch's team roll the pred in the first 2 min.
Heres another salty fucking Predator main, come to spread his diarrhoea all over the sub again.
Says the cry baby FT that thinks the humans should be able to parry a fucking 7 foot alien.
In the first movie, a single man kills a Predator with a log.
You arent making the point you think you are, son.
Was that before or after he recalls his entire squad if they fail to revive themselves? Didn't Arnold use spot and UAVs to make him show up on his minimap the entire time?
One man, no weapons. Your point, in the trash.
Once you go against a coordinated premade who are running all meta builds, with 2 field medics and 2 snipers spot-spamming you with 7 second spots, you'll see it doesn't matter what you do. The game becomes borderline unplayable.
It's ok, it'll be gone the way of F13 in another few patches anyways.
Who actually down voted this? Go to the forums you'll see the people who actually take the time to play test every little thing about this game like it's their job will agree with me. Top tier fireteams are vastly stronger than top tier predators. If that upsets you I really don't know what to tell you.
Idk my first 10 hours of gameplay (only played as fireteam) I haven't lose once, either predator didn't engage us or they run straight into us and died.
Someone forgot the crouch + parry spam that FT uses.
Yes, I have used the Net Gun but by the time I pull it out I get my extraterrestrial behind full of bullets.
