Is this an Easter egg or just a strange coincidence? From the Netflix show Van Helsing (episode filmed before our 19th)

loveandmonsters

That's top level banter by some Manc bastard

SRFC96

Good banter tbf lol.

spandexmatch

As a rule, I don't believe in coincidences

Gerrard1995

Coincidence, that is factually incorrect

cian_pike01

To be fair OP did state that it was filmed before we won #19

loveandmonsters

I think the joke is that the factually incorrect part is the >

Gerrard1995

I didn't even see that! I though it meant their 20/21 team was better than our 18/19 one XD

Architect22

Weird because United fans don't refer to themselves as 'Man U'. Its an offensive nickname to them.

aibrahim1207

It's actually Manure

[deleted]

I think for the sake of this Easter egg it made sense though. ‘United’ may have been too on the nose.

Axwell93

Really? Offensive? I must use it from now on..

Architect22

Offensive because its linked to rivals singing about Munich. So I wouldn't.

GrumbleCake_

You could. But then you'd be no better than people mocking Hillsborough

BrewHouse13

I've actually found that in general it seems to be Northern United fans who say Man United or just United and that it tends to be southern United fans who say Man U. Obviously this is entirely anecdotal but I lived in Oxfordshire for a bit as a kid and they said Man U down there and a lot of the southern United fans I met at uni said Man U as well. My partner is from Essex and she says Man U. But she also says LFC instead of Liverpool so that could just be a her thing.

myheartraterapid

there’s no such thing as a coincidence

fren4u

It's actually neither, because it's incorrect.

whiteboards1225

It might have been correct when it was filmed

getyerhandoffit

Yeah, have another read of the title, chief.

fren4u

Maybe a little less serious, guy? It's an internet forum.
