Brandon Davis of ComicBook says we will see Vincent D’Onofrio return post-Hawkeye
By - Samoht99
I know Davis isn’t known for his scoops, but he does have industry connections.
That being said, we have also heard the same about Fisk, mainly in Echo of course
**Side note:** I was recently reminded of how Mando Season 1 Episode 7 was connected to The Rise of Skywalker’s release, as it debuted Force Healing and was released 2 days apart
This is how we assume the Hawkeye episode 5 and No Way Home connection will happen. Not saying which will be first, just very close together
Prepare yourselves. We're gonna see multiple 4Chan leaks of Kingpin and Daredevil appearing in everything.
gonna be chock-full of “You don’t have to believe what I say but I just got this information from an insider friend of mine”
Kingpin is now the main villain of No Way Home. Tobey Maguire will be playing Wesley and Andrew Garfield will be playing Vanessa
For real, they'll be skipping some juicier stuff like Deadpool, Moon Knight or any other 'street level' MCU heroes.
Magically, as soon as someone says it, everyone else has heard the same thing :D
Well, that makes the previous "Daredevil in Secret Invasion" rumor more credible then, since it was made before this floodgate opened :P
Only in a just and fair universe would we receive such glorious news
You lost me at 4 Chan. You’re always going to lose me at 4chan
Then you didn't understand
I don’t think you understand that 4chan is not a reliable source whatsoever.
That's not what I'm saying, the comment you're referring to is saying that 4chan has so much BS that they'll incorporate legit leaks from this sub into their fanfics lol
That’s the exact point the other person made.
He was telling it as a sarcastic joke
I think we broke the internet
Breaking the internet is our Glorious Purpose.
You kabobed the sacred wide web into the multinet. *You proud of yourselves now?*
*raises hands out*
on a side note, Mabel’s little trip was so fucking wild for a disney channel.
We haven't broken the Internet this hard since >!Clint Barton got resurrected in House of M after that Disassembled event!<.
After the peters in NWH, daredevil and kingpin r the most important crossovers we are looking for. Stoked
Yes. Yes we did
I love you btw
Charles Murphy proceeds to chat shit again about this subreddit and make the news about him again.
I think that’s a safe bet. D’Onofrio’s portrayal is universally praised and there’s still a lot of awesome stories to tell with his character. Post-Hawkeye, I would love to see him in an MCU Spider-Man 4 and hopefully a Daredevil revival.
What about Moon Knight? A lot of potential there. Hell, even Deadpool, or any other 'street level' MCU heroes. And considering the recurring magic tablet stories in the comics, he could take on sorcerers like Doctor Strange, or hire one like him. Also, he could either join forces or go to turf war with Contessa to control the superweapons black market.
Possibilities are endless here.
A turf war over superweapons would also be a good reason to pit him against Justin Hammer since he was making alien weapons in the Luke Cage show
Yeah same. Sony owns the movie rights but Marvel owns the TV rights, so hopefully this Sony deal pulls through and let’s us have anyone we want for any movie or show as well. Crossing fingers for Norman Osborn and Kingpin.
What, the TV rights for Spidey? That only applies to animated content under 40 minutes. Marvel gets Kingpin because he’s associated with everybody from Daredevil to the Punisher to Echo. He’s shared with Sony.
He means the rights to Kingpin
From what I understand the rights/claims to Kingpin it’s a situation to the Quicksilver situation they had going on with Fox - otherwise we wouldn’t have seen Kingpin in Into the Spider-Verse.
Both studios could use him in films so long as they didn’t reference the other’s property, but now with the Marvel Studios/Sony deal renewed… there’s no reason they actually couldn’t.
Well, that last part is debatable. The MCU is an IP owned by Disney - Sony, legally, can have no involvement in it. The Spider-Man movies are fine because they’re co-produced by Marvel Studios, but Venom, for example, is entirely a Sony film. At best, they could make a little joke, like how Spider-Man 2 referenced Doctor Strange.
Also, with Sony’s various own crime lords and Fisk generally becoming more and more associated with other characters, I don’t think Sony will be using the Kingpin again.
I never said anything about Spider-Man. I’m just saying that tv rights are allowed to Marvel.
No, they aren’t. Marvel only gets TV rights for animation under 40 minutes, UNLESS they use Fisk with Daredevil, Punisher, etc.
I’m talking about Fisk. Pay attention to what I write.
You were talking about TV rights.
Yeah for Kingpin special boy.
They can have Kingpin for anything, as long as it’s in association with his most recognisable foes.
What I would give to see Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Charlie Cox's Daredevil vs Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin.
Spider-Man 4 with DD vs. Scorpion/Vulture working for Fisk?
What about Mysterio?
I assume it would be in the in-development *Hawkeye* spin-off *Echo*, given the character is the adoptive father of the titular Echo.
When we see him in Daredevil season 4 >>>
This just made me visibly smile
Dude, there's no way Marvel Studios don't at least entertain the idea of a soft-reboot Daredevil project with Charlie Cox after all this.
It would obviously have to be different to the Netflix show, taking away most of the brutal violence. Although, Falcon and Winter Soldier had some brutal scenes. Thanos also gets straight up decapitated in Endgame.
There’s a difference between CGI Thanos getting decapitated vaguely off screen and Kingpin beating a man to death with a car door though
Or that guy who slammed his own head onto a metal spike to avoid ratting out kingpin....
For sure, but I just mean there's probably more wiggle room for brutality than we originally thought.
I mean, John Walker murdered a guy with Cap's Shield in broad daylight and there was blood all of over it. When that scene came up, I was wondering how parents were gonna be explaining that scene to their kids lol
“Well you see in my day the Green Goblin turned some old dudes into skeletons and that was fucking terrifying so suck it up bitch”
ha and that scene is shot so hilariously, kinda classic Raimi move
They said “soft reboot”
I want a full-on continuation.
Oh for sure. They're not setting up DD and Kingpin in all these projects for nothing
I mean, everyone else hasn't been "slated to be recast", we don't even know what they're doing with the other characters yet.
> everyone else is slated to be recast
According to who? There is no reason for us to assume everyone else will be recasted.
Sources? I haven't seen someone talk more out of their ass then this in years
There is literally no reason to assume they won't continue with a Season 4. The last 3 seasons don't really contradict much of what the MCU has established other than the other Defenders shows.
Charlie and Vincent in the MCU babyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So stoked. Hope the integration will be good.
Probably gonna be "they were there all along, look see there's Daredevil during Avengers 1" type thing
I think so too.
That would be so awesome if they showed him fighting Chitauri
Pretty sure he was still at least just the "Man in Black" during Avengers, but it sounded like he was still in Law School. Bare in mind, it was 2015 when they both first set up Nelson and Murdock as fresh-faced Lawyers.
Ahh good point, totally forgot that, maybe time for a rewatch :)
Don’t bother it won’t be that version of Matt.
Nobody has any idea.
But it's most likely gonna be a soft-reboot. As in they'll retain the characters and elements of the continuity, but not so much all of it because it's a moving forward point and shouldn't be intimidating to those who haven't seen the show.
What would be the point or fanfare of bringing him back if they're also just gonna pretend none of it happened? It'd be like bringing back Tobey but just having him be a completely different Spider-Man variant.
I'm more curious to what they'll say about Kingpin's past pre Hawkeye and such
He’d be dead in five seconds.
He's stronger than Black Widow, I don't see how he couldn't take some down.
In a hand to hand fight Daredevil comes out ahead. But Natasha is tactically experienced in ways Matt simply isn't.
I don't think he is stronger than Black Widow. Natasha was spesifically chosen because of her genetic superiority. Matt is just a guy. He has better senses so he could maybe be a better fighter but I don't think he is directly stronger.
That's a new thing though. Natasha was written as just a woman for the first couple movies.
Natasha also doesn't have the superpower of catholic guilt, allowing Matt to get up from anything. I swear, a train could hit that guy and he'd get up once he starts hearing his dad.
Catholic guilt, the one super power capable of defeating God Emperor Doom
Even if Black Widow is “genetically superior”, Hawkeye sure isn’t and he did just fine against the Chitauri
I didn't say he wouldn't be helpful. I just talked about his strength compared to Natasha.
*cut to scenes of Matt just being like “I know there’s a Chitauri around the corner thanks to my super senses!” and then just fucking booking it away*
Crossing the street tapping his cane while the Chitauri zoom by.
Yea either they are going treat Daredevil as if he has always been canon, or probably use some kind of multiverisal connection to make him canon.
If Sony don’t break the internet with the NWH trailer, this sub did it in another way. Crongrats, mods! I had contact with u guys one time (of course I won’t reveal who I was), and I was honestly surprise of how well you handle the leaks and leakers.
Congrats for everyone on this sub too!
Thank you, we should be grateful for all this opportunities you all are giving us <3
And now it’s deleted. Which sort of makes me think it’s even more legit.
Vincent D'Onofrio unliked the Big Screen Leaks tweet as well.
The Kingpin of Spoilers.
Makes sense, there's a reason no trades are publishing an article saying Tobey and Andrew are returning in NWH. Probably same with this. Marvel isn't allowing any trades to report Kingpin's return to keep the reveal a secret.
If NWH has Tobey, Andrew, Sinister Six, Daredevil, & Kingpin it will be the most hyped MCU film for me.
I think Charles Murphy's site reported that Tobey and Andrew were confirmed for Nwh maybe now they are not putting out articles.
Haven't even seen Echo in the Hawkeye series yet, and I'm getting hyped for the fucking series now.
We need plenty of Vincent D’Onofrio, I hope he’s a major villain in the MCU!
Maybe he can be the Thanos of more "street-level" stories with Spider-Man, Daredevil, Moon Knight, and Blade. I'm bored of world-ending stories.
Val got that spot as of now, hopefully fisk recruits some guys too and they eventually clash!
I wouldn’t call Val or the Thunderbolts ‘street-level’.
Wilson Fisk as the street-level big bad, Val as the global-level big bad, Kang as the cosmic-level big bad. Sounds like a perfect trifecta to me!
I’m not even sure that there needs to be a ‘big bad’.
I mean, there’s clearly going to be though, and having three separate arch-villains across three different arenas is certainly a different take compared to just one (Thanos) for Phases 1-3.
Oh shit, completely forgot Doom!
Well it’s because he’s both overrated and underrated and properly rated. So it probably just slipped your mind.
Completely agree! Maybe he could cameo in Hawkeye first, than appear in Moon Knight, and maybe Spider-Man 4 (if it is happening). But a street-level major threat seems awesome.
Guess I have to rewatch daredevil until then.
Actually super easy barely an inconvenience
Protecting Hells Kitchen is TIGHT
If i could save time in a bottle
the first thing that I'd like to doooooooo
are made of thiisssss
It just occurred to me that this might be the best show to bring Kingpin back 🤑🤑
If the tweet was deleted then it must be true
I know people will doubt him, but I honestly believe him
The guy has a crazy amount of connections in the industry, I have no doubt he knows stuff that we don't
I hope this is true D’Onofrio is the best adaptation of Kingpin ever.
Can’t wait to see people cry when daredevil and others from the first tv shows start poppin up 😈
If there is truly a one-two punch of Matt Murdoch in No Way Home and Wilson Fisk in Hawkeye the fandom(s) are going to go completely ape shit with "who could be next?!" It's going to be WILD.
Daisy Johnson in Ms. Marvel please!
All they're going to say is "it's the same actors but different versions of the characters".
Maybe, maybe not
Daniel Rithchman retweeted this tweet and has some really good info lately
Looks like the tweet got deleted. 🤔further fuel to the flame
So its confirmed
Daredevil movie please? We probably won’t see more Ant-Man movies after Quantumania, so DD can have his spot.
I don't want to offend you but I for one think that Daredevil is more suitable for a Tv format (imo) they can make the episodes like movie quality. I do want a DD movie tho I'm a little conflicted.
I think Daredevil will have cameo-like supporting roles in the film, and will probably be a bigger presence in shows like She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, etc. I also agree I think Daredevil is better suited for a TV format as well instead of a solo film
That's what I was thinking I think at this rate they should give him his show coz I for one don't want to see DD doing multiple cameos with getting his own project.
Plot-wise, the Ben Affleck movie wasn't **that** bad.
It introduced Kingpin, DD, Elektra and Bullseye in under 2 hours and did a fairly OK job at doing so.
Acting-wise it wasn't the best but the script was very promising. It even set up Adamantium Bullseye in the post-credit scenes.
A Marvel Studios DD film could definitely work.
Do you think if kingpin returns then it'll mean that Charlie will return too and will be in NWH?
"This Tweet is unavailable."
If we’re to assume that the episode that Fisk shows up in is the 5th episode like the leaker said and it’s similar to how The Mandalorian and TROS had a connection than Hawkeye will come out on November 17th
And Ms. Marvel at the end of September? Mmm....
AYOO I LOVE BD. The least toxic guy on the platform
Give the man his Nova movie.
🗣I AM THE ILL INTENT
The tweet was deleted so what could that mean?
Lead villain in Echo right there its finally time baby!
He deleted the tweet.
I'm excited for more confirmation of D'Onofrio but where my boy Wilson Bethel?
I hope we see him return in a Spider-Man movie even if it’s a small role as a benefactor or organized crime boss type of thing. I always thought it was a really cool in-universe thing in the comics that he is both a Daredevil and Spider-Man enemy, kinda surprises me its gonna be the other way around where he meets Matt first and not the other.
Is Brandon Davis hot?
I can’t make up my mind if I’m attracted to him or not 🤔
Like, he definitely turned up the heat once he started working out and taking care of his image 🥵
This news has been able to stall me until august, and if the NWH trailer doesn’t release that month, it is very reasonable to assume the movie has been delayed
Will believe it when I see it
its just bullshit until we actually DO SEE him in it.
Won't believe it until I see it.
ComicBook.com is never gonna get told anything after this
Echo and in a Daredevil D+ show are my guesses. Perhaps even a cameo or a small role in Spidey 4.
It makes total sense for him to be the villain in the Echo TV Show. And for Matt to appear as Echo's partner/mentor.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Echo show is a stealth DD S4 only that with Echo as the main character and Matt as the supporting one.
He’s probably just guessing and doing this for the likes and clout. Obviously if they brought him back for Hawkeye he’s going to be in future titles, what kind of scoop is that?!?!
Brandon Davis has industry connections up the wazoo. He only scoops when he has 100% confidence. The fact that he's even saying this is big
Yeah I have been listening to the Phase Zero podcasts and he often is talking about spoilers that he doesnt want to reveal to the world, perhaps this is one of them?
I hope the Netflix characters get rebooted if they get into the MCU movies. Would kinda ruin the ending of Daredevil S3 otherwise imo.
EDIT: I apologise for having an opinion.
There was no finality whatsoever. Kingpin doesn’t stop being a threat until he’s dead.
