Is it worth getting a bike?

Yes. Totally worth it. Start the journey lol
Were you expecting anything other than a resounding hell yes from the biking subreddit?
Absolutely no question. Get a bike. It's a freedom that is really hard to replicate any other way.
Yes yes and yes.
The only excuses you have are the ones you make for yourself. Get on a bike and ride!
You could use the Boris bikes but I think you need an adult to have an account and make you an "additional user" or something.
Though London is a big place, it’s easy to get out of too. You could get a train out and ride home. You’d be amazed at what you get to see

I regret not getting a quality bike sooner. Can last 10 + years with good care and a fun way to get exercise.
Gonna give u a lot of freedom of movement my dude.
Bikes are pure magic. Get one if you can. Even the crappy ones can be magic.
Nah, don't get a bike. Use your money to buy drugs, that's where it's at. Just kidding, of course you should buy a bike.
Probably not worth it. Most people who buy bikes end up letting them collect dust. The same goes for most excercise equipment bought by people trying something new.
No way to tell if you'll take to it. Maybe running is more your thing. Maybe basketball. What matters is that you find something you like, stick with it, and always try to get better, faster, and stronger.
Me? Been riding regularly for 30 years. About 15 years ago I was doing 200 miles a week and in the best shape of my life. These days, still do close to 100 miles/week and am in better physical shape than 95 percent of the people my age.
A bicycle is a relatively cheap machine which enhances your body to be 5 times faster. Why wouldn't that be worth it?
Where i live there's a lot of busy roads, I've never really ridden on a road before and I don't think there's that much open space to ride.
Update : I won't be getting a bike anytime soon I don't think because i was down town the other day and just got randomly assaulted and he ran off, it's so fucked in London
Jesus man. I heard from a brit kid in Sydney last year that there were stabs and knifefights almost every day and at every hour in central London. Is it truly like that?
London is not a safe place to be, I personally blame it on the police being useless asf but that's off topic 😂man I wish i lived in a nicer area, its just that i guess here you get "good education" if even that
