What weather/temperture do you prefer?
By - agentgdynia
I live centrally. Does anyone else around here sweat buckets all year round? It feels really humid and heavy except early mornings and the coldest winter days.
By regents and walking to camden is always sweaty rain or shine
was strolling today and noticed how the pavement was shooting hot air straight into my face. was pretty unpleasant, stick to the parks
You mean loose paving stones? They exist purely to torment you in all weather. Great getting a blast of rain water up your legs.
Yeah all year im sweating. Doesnt matter the temp. Its even worse when i go skate
In winter it makes me feel like an abandoned ice lolly, cold to the touch in a big sticky puddle of my own juice.
I am on medication that makes me sweat too much. 😭
I prefer 19-24, although it's not an option so I'll go with hot!
This is the perfect range ! Totally agree
My ideal range too. If I had to even narrow it down to one number, I'd say 23.
Right!? Why isn't there "warm" setting on this thing?
Yep, there should be a 20-25 option, 20 and 29 are miles different
This is the way
20 isn’t hot smh
Agreed. Hot starts from 25 degrees generally speaking
Medium or cold but most importantly, dry.
I like it wet, baby.
I don’t care if it’s wet or dry as long as it’s bright and clear.
My vision is wank when it’s all grey for the day.
I like cold but with clear blue skies
You see I like cold but with clouds, if it's clear skies then when it turns to night it becomes extremely cold due to nothing keeping what heat there is in
Can you account for bias and do the same poll in January?
Guarentee the cold crowd will be reviewing their choices
The big thing for me is the daylight hours. I can happily exist in a world with 14 hours of daylight year round that never exceeds 15°C and never drops below 5°C .
I can't deal with a world with 6 hours of daylight, even if it's 20°C year round.
This is very fair, light certainly superseeds heat. Equally, hot and grey is awful.
Yeah it makes me miss Italy, at least in the midseasons. Bright light, crispy breeze, comfortable warmth...
In the winter I'd like it to be around 18 and in the summer I'd like it to be around 18
Why would anyone review their choices when they know what temperature they are most happy with?
Because if you have the same consistently, you forget what a "good" temperature is
I've told you that good is 18, if my ageing brain fails me and I am at risk of forgetting, I'll have a look at the 18 set on the thermostat.
I’ve always loved feeling cold. Absolutely hate the heat and humidity. 🥵
Depends. If I'm out and about for the purpose of getting something done, 18 degrees and clear skies. If I'm out for a nice view, dramatic clouds. If I'm sitting in a cafe or bedroom, freezing cold and raining because it looks nice.
Nothing beats curling up and watching a movie with some tea and biscuits when its snowing. Or having a big sleep when its raining hard with some grumbles of thunder. "Bad" weather is good for stuff too.
As an Aussie currently loving this weather, add 10 degrees onto each classification
This is probably a cool summer's day in Aus?
It was bloody delightful
10-15 degrees is good for me but I’m also ginger and can’t handle any heat 😂
Huge difference between 10 and 19, more so than any other option.
10-19 is my sweet spot where I can exercise comfortably but also wear trousers when not.
London 30c is a lot different to 30s elsewhere.
True as there is so many buildings and not a lot of free spaces air is not moving so much. My garden thermometer that is located in shade is now showing 35🥵
I agree london 30s feel like 60s in the Sahara
I'm actually kinda used to this weather outside because I grew up in an area with hot, humid summers (just checked and today it was high of 31 with 63% humidity), but for a solid 2-3 months straight during the summer. The problem is places in London don't have nearly as much AC, since the really hot days here are much more sporadic...
For me, anything below 0 is Absolute Freezing!
0-6 is Really Cold.
6-12 is Cold.
12-16 is Cool.
16-20 is Medium.
20-26 is Warm.
26-35 is Hot.
35 and above, and I've experienced 52ºC, is Oven Baked.
Below zero being freezing is kind of the point
Coming from South africa. 20 to 25 is pretty much perfect for me.
Scandi here, I wish we got below 0 and proper snow here in London :) Although I'm not loving the humid cold of London. It feels a lot colder at 3 degrees here than where I'm from.
These ranges aren't that great. How about 16-24?
Obviously there is many, many other ways to do it. Also hot for one person starts at 20 another 27 and another 31. I just want this to be simple and see how more or less others feel about their weather/temperture preferences. I don't really make scientific research here 😉
If London weren’t so humid and everywhere had air conditioning than Hot would be totally fine
How am I one of the only people who likes below freezing?
I like below freezing, but not as much as I like perfect T shirt weather (which is about 13-19c for me).
Can go hotter now we’ve gotten rid of the central line
Anyone who says 30+ deserves to ACTUALLY be in hell.
Bro noo 30+ is too good hopefully we still get let into heaven 🤣
17-19 with a breeze and I'm happy
That's cold though
Not for me, it's perfect.
20-29 is perfect imo
The weather is now so hot my head hurts
14°C year round. In other words, San Francisco
Who on earth chose hot as hell
You ever see those people who look like leather handbags?
Two of my colleagues would have done, but I don't know if they're on Reddit.
Literally anything above 10 is too hot for me
I don't like the choices.
The think ranges should be:
Pity you didn't have a 25 degrees threshold, as that my personal preferred limit. Therefore had to go medium, as 29 degrees sucks balls
In London, Medium to Hot or Freezing. Outside of UK, either Hot like hell or freezing. Anything in between is wasted holidays.
Doing a physical job I want it freezing through the week and hot as hell at weekends or any other day that I’m off.
Today was 31 in London and I couldn’t handle it makes me lazy
I like a nice cool 10-15°C. 16-19°C is pushing it. 20°C upwards is just taking the piss
I’m comfortable between 18-23 degrees, that’s it
This question came to me as 30 today in my garden feels like punishment 😂 as medium is perfect for me.
Can't stand hot weather. Anything below 24c is good for me.
the perfect weather: 14c, a light/moderate breeze, about 50% cloud coverage
20-29 when air con is available but 15-19 otherwise
Sunny and cold, doesn't matter the temperature.
I wouldn't classify 20 as hot, more like Warm.
Bright and breezy
yesterday was nice,today unbearable!
I love hot weather like until 29 30 degree is good for me but when I am close to a source of water like a pool or beach even a garden with a kiddy pool for my feet!!
But today, when I have to walk around, my sweat was sweating 😓
Well I don't like this purge weather that's for sure.
Anything above 20 and I avoid the city if possible.
It's just too fucking hot.
The weather should be hot enough that you can be outside, but cold enough that you don't sweat buckets.
People who want 30 and above are either lizards or will end up looking like one.
Medium isn’t warm at all though. Struggling to understand in what world 15 is nicer than 25 🤕
the world in which you have to take the tube/be anywhere indoor with crowds and no AC?
although replying to myself I have no idea if this poll is about summer specifically or in general, cause a 15 summer would be shit
It might be my foreign blood but I would still prefer to live in a tropical area with 25 all year round. Might also be because I associate cold with a lack of light and seasonal depression
25 is, almost always, too warm for me. It’s nice temperature when I’m on holiday or just want to lie in the park all day but it’s far too warm if I want to actually do anything. Whilst 16-22c is my personal sweet spot of ‘lovely’ weather, 15 is almost always preferable to 25 for me.
Depends from preferences. One person likes 15 another 25
I hate to break it to y'all, but 10-19 is cold, not medium. Medium is like. 20-25.
eh 10-19 is pretty mild average weather i'd say 20+ is warm and 25+ is hot. by british standards anyway
Coming from southern Ukraine, 10 is fucking freezing, even after living in England for 17 years.
bloody hell how do you cope when it gets into the minuses
I don’t. I hate the cold, I hate winter, and I hate English winter especially. I can’t wait to emigrate.
Lol at the downvotes
For me it's the opposite way around. Autumnal London is god tier, hot summer's day London when the flowers are out and there's a nice breeze is next down on the list.
46c is ideal for me.
I can chill with up to 40 but London has no breeze..... ;(
How is the weather between zone 2-3 and 5-6? Also, do you think is a better weather in the countryside compared to the city? For example east London, near the ocean, again west London, such as Chelsea?
I enjoy when there is a blanket of humidity all day, have not reached that level yet, although with half the train service down this weekend had to take bus which was unbearable.
Absolutely shocked that the 20's are not far and away the most popular choice here.
I think it's inexplicably lumping 29 in with 20-25. Once it gets above 25 it's too hot for me so with these ranges I would pick 10-19 but my actual answer is 20-25
10 - 19 in London is a very mad range.
The fuck is that range: 20-29?
23 is not the same as 28 dude
Hot, but also enjoy hot like hell from time to time as well.
28-32 is excellent. Should be like this everyday
The most important thing about this is the breeze factor. 10-19 without, all the way up to 32 with a strong breeze.
20 is perfection. Above 30 and I’d rather be inside, above 35 and I’m running for cover.
Very low 10s, maybe high 0s depending on humidity.
I like the two extremes because thats what whether in the countryside or other places normally is
Wish there was a 20-25 category
My ideal is 25 to 30. Only happens a couple of weeks a year :(
Freezing cold lads. You can protect from heat.
30 degrees Celsius isn’t hot tho
